Syncronization
CV Toolkit can be synced to other softwares and hardwares via the different sync methods available.
To use any of these methods, go the Sync / Misc pane and select the sync method you'd like to use.
Sync Methods
Internal
The Internal sync method generates an internal clock that CV Toolkit uses to drive all of it's virtual modules.
MIDI Clock
This method uses MIDI Clock messages coming from the selected Clock Input port in the MIDI / OSC tab.
You can sync CV Toolkit to your DAW or to anything that sends MIDI Clock (Drum machines, iOS apps and etc).
If you’d like to sync CV Toolkit to a DAW, set the MIDI Clock source to ‘to CV Toolkit 1’, turn on MIDI Clock and then go to DAW and make sure it’s sending MIDI Clock to ‘to CV Toolkit 1’.
Windows users: In order to create the virtual MIDI ports, you may need to use third-party programs such as MIDI Yoke or LoopBe1.
Ableton Link
CV Toolkit can also be synced via the Ableton Link technology.
Simply select the Link sync method and press Play in CV Toolkit. CV Toolkit will automatically sync to any other Link-enabled devices and apps.
The Sync / Misc pane in the side-bar also displays the number of participants that are active in your current session.

Sync Compensation
You can use the Sync Compensation feature to compensate for any latency that might occur when using one of the sync methods.
Because the latency amount can change from session to session, the Sync Compensation value is not permanentely stored in the CV Toolkit settings.
Please keep in mind that the Sync Compensation may cause irregulaties to the timing of the first couple of beats after the transport is activated therefore a pre-roll of 1 or 2 bars before recording is recommended.
